Tips For Singers to Keep Voice at Prime by Sumo Entertainment JD3

Sumo Entertainment JD3 has come up with a few ways to keep you singing voice at prime. Here’s how to protect your vocal cords:

*Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day- Ok, this is obvious, but water does lubricate everything inside of your body, including your vocal cords. It’s just like putting oil in an engine. When you are dehydrated, your vocal cords will develop a coating of thick mucus which can affect your singing voice. Clear chords mean the ability to belt out clear, crisp notes.

*Warm up your voice regularly- Just like runners warm up before a marathon, singers must do the same with their voice. Use a classical music approach with descending scales and breathing exercises. Try a technique in which you control the intensity of volume.

*Take vocal naps- Your singing voice might need a break. Try not speaking for a certain frame of time, especially when on tour.

*Do not smoke or be around smoke- Even if you don’t smoke directly, being around secondhand smoke can swell your vocal cords.

*Develop good singing technique- Your speaking voice is just as important as your singing voice. If you have strain on your speaking voice, it will carry spill over into your singing. Get extra rest during tours, media and radio interviews.
